Monaco Yacht Show 2017
Where: Port Hercule and surrounding venuesOne of the most celebrated yachting events in the world, the Monaco Yacht Show regularly attracts over 30,000 visitors and a strong fleet of some of the world's finest yachts for charter and sale. Over 100 superyachts will be on display, ranging from 25 to 90 meters in length, with a combined value of over €3 billion.
The Monaco Yacht Show – the world’s largest on-water event – will take place over 4 days from the end of September with over 500 exhibitors showcasing the latest in industry innovation. As many as 50 superyachts are unveiled at each edition of the show, with the world’s yachting press converging to witness the latest and greatest in the industry. Approximately 580 exhibitors will be in attendance, including the world’s largest yacht brokerages, yacht designers and shipyards, as well as manufacturers of accessories and other yachting equipment.
Value to Crew
This is a valuable event for yacht crewmembers to attend. Aside from the various seminars and networking events that are hosted by experienced yachting professions, such as ACREW, crewmembers will be able to speak to potential employers about the possibility of a job for the Caribbean yachting season. In 2016, 125 superyachts attended the events from over 15 countries, including 39 new launches. These are potential employers.
Different Areas of the MYS
The upper deck lounge – This VIP area is reserved for the most important guests at the MYS. A 650m2 lounge welcomes VIPs, offering fine food, an exclusive bar, a relaxing lounge with WI-FI and private meeting rooms.
MYS Captains’ & Crew Lounge – The Captain’s & Crew Lounge provides the perfect space for crewmembers of exhibited yachts to network and relax. Enjoy a massage, eat at the restaurant or get a cool drink at the bar. Crew must be wearing a uniform and must present a business card.
MYS Pop-up bar – Located by the entrance of Quai Antoine Ier, the MYS pop-up bar is a great place to network with potential employers and other crew. Both visitors and exhibitors are welcomes for a refreshing drink or a light lunch on the terrace. Open 9:00am – 6:30pm.
The MYS Breaking News Centre – MYS teams up with superyachts.com to interview the the most senior managers of the exhibiting companies, bringing insightful information to the yachting industry on all aspects of news.
Port Hercule – Over 100 yachts will dock in Port Hercule, including many new launches. This is a great opportunity to hand out yachting CVs.
