YPI CREW is the leading recruiter for superyacht jobs, placing crew on vessels all over the world. While some yachts may be leaving the Mediterranean for warmer climates, there are still jobs on offer all over the world.
In this video, Laurence Lewis, the Director of YPI CREW, dispels the myth that the recruitment season is over. There are no seasons when it comes to superyacht recruitment.
YPI CREW matches the best yacht crew with the best superyacht jobs, on vessels in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, and in other parts of the world. Our experienced recruiters understand the skills required to be successful in a career at sea. We work closely with yacht Captains and Owners to find candidates that best fit the needs of a particular yacht.
For October, YPI CREW is recruiting for the following superyacht jobs:
A 55M Charter Yacht is looking for a Bosun/OOW. The yacht, which featured at the Monaco Yacht Show, hosts spasmodic charters and 5/6 weeks of private owner use. The perfect candidate doesn’t necessarily have to be in possession of a B1/B2 Visa. The yacht is currently in Viareggio but will be attending the Antigua Boat Show in December.
A 46m private yacht is looking for a First Officer. The vessel will be having a 10-year survey in La Ciotat and then will spend the winter season in Cannes. The position would suit a family man. The candidate will currently be given 30 days holiday but this may be extended to 42. Must have experience with mini ISM Chart corrections etc. A candidate with OOW or leading to OOW is preferred.
Spa Stewardesses are required for various private and charter yachts between 50m–90m.
A 50M Charter Yacht is looking for a male deckhand (male due to cabin arrangements) in his early 20’s, who is fit, active, and fun. A great attitude and a willingness to learn is key. 42 days of leave will be granted per year, upon the completion of a 3-month probation period.
Salary: €2,700 per month, depending on experience. Bonus payment after one year onboard.
Courses: Case by case, but encouraged. Paid back monthly over an 18-month period.
Minimum qualifications: STCW, ENG1, DSD. Yacht Rating Certificate.
Additional attributes: One year of experience on a yacht; Yacht Master Offshore is a bonus; and a watersports background is a must.
Start date: First week of November 2017.
