YPI CREW Acquires Edmiston Recruitment in New Alliance
YPI CREW is delighted to announce that we have entered a strategic alliance with Edmiston, further expanding our reach and helping to serve the recruitment needs of the yachting industry better.
Edmiston is a world-leader in yacht brokerage, management and charter, with an experienced recruitment team who are focused on recruiting at every level, from deckhand to captain, ensuring yachts operate to the very highest of standards.
As part of the alliance, as of January 1, 2020, YPI CREW has taken on all on-going crew placement of Edmiston, as well as retained the recruitment team of four, taking our total professional team of recruiters to 16, helping us to provide an enhanced custom recruitment service to the yachting industry.
“I am delighted to welcome the Edmiston recruiters to YPI CREW,” Laurence Lewis, president of YPI CREW said. “The team is talented, experienced and will be a great asset to the company allowing us to develop further.
She added: “Recruitment is not a commodity purchase and quality recruiters are increasingly essential in today’s sophisticated market. Clients pay for the soft skills recruiters bring to the table, which technology cannot do. With a team of 16 we are confident we can provide the best service to clients and candidates alike”
Jamie Edmiston, CEO of Edmiston, explained that the alliance will allow Edmiston to focus on their core business of yacht brokerage, charter, and management.
“YPI CREW are the world-leading crew recruitment company and I know they will nurture and grow the Edmiston crew division, ensuring the team and clients receive the level of service they require,” he said. “I would personally like to thank all the team for their hard work and dedication over the years and I know they will be a great asset to YPI CREW in the years to come.”
The alliance comes shortly after our first anniversary within commercial shipping giant the Schulte Group, a ship management and owning company with offices spanning the globe. With more than 20,0000 seafarers under contract, the Schulte Group’s proven strategy of developing international deals in the maritime field led to the exciting acquisition of Edmiston’s recruitment division.
