One of our longest-standing members of the team, Helen has been with YPI CREW since Laurence first opened the agency in 2002. British-born Helen – who is half-French, half-Greek – started her career in London but soon moved to France, initially basing herself in Paris, where she worked in the perfume industry before heading to the French Riviera.
Helen is known throughout the industry as the superstar Chef recruiter thanks to her unrivalled network of exceptional Chefs! She has assisted countless yacht Chefs with their careers, from securing the first yacht job to heading the galley team of a 100m+ superyacht!
Away from work, Helen loves going to concerts, the cinema, reading and cheering on Liverpool FC!
What do you find most rewarding about working in yacht crew recruitment?
“My favourite part of recruitment is the relationship I get to develop with candidates. I love assisting chefs in securing their first yachting job. I have known many of the chefs since they started in the industry and it’s wonderful to watch their career develop to the point where they are now the client and I am helping them look for crew. The diversity and fast pace of the job means there is never a dull moment.”
